From the Anvil External Beeswax Cottage Latch – LH

Often, these latches are used internally as an alternative to a thumblatch, or externally for entrance and side gates. These latches are handed, so it’s important to make sure you choose the correct hand. On inward opening doors/gates with hinges on the left, a left hand Cottage latch would be required and vice versa. Maximum door thickness: 70mm. Supplied with matching SS wood screws. Our External Beeswax finish aesthetically is the same as Beeswax; A traditional finish with a soft, natural look featuring subtle blue and deep red ochre tones which are preserved in the steel during the manufacturing process. This finish is ideally suited to older, traditional dwellings and cottage interiors. Our External Beeswax products are hand forged from mild steel. After forging, the subtle colours in the metal are preserved by dipping the products in hot, anti-corrosive beeswax unique to From The Anvil.
