When opened, a T hinge has the appearance of the letter ‘T’. An alternative to butt hinges, T hinges are usually used in conjunction with a Suffolk latch on traditional plank doors.

Designed to match our Bean thumblatches and D handles.

A pair and a half (three hinges) can be fitted to provide extra strength for heavier doors.

Our Blacksmith T hinges are hammered into shape from mild steel using a traditional anvil and fire manufacturing method.

Sold in pairs.

Supplied with matching SS wood screws.

Beeswax is our most authentic finish for steel. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. All our Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder coated finish. These products offer excellent internal protection when properly maintained.
