This backset is Police Preferred Specification, and is one of the most effective ways to secure PVC, timber, and aluminium casement windows. Intended for use on windows with a centre mullion when central locking is not required. Ten year mechanical guarantee. BZP, or Bright Zinc Plated, products are made from steel and plated with a thin layer of zinc using an electric current, to protect against rusting and oxidisation.
