This backset is Police Preferred Specification, and is one of the most effective ways to secure PVC, timber, and aluminium casement windows. The central claws lock securely into the centre keep, and two shoot bolts lock into the corners of the window, providing unrivalled protection from attack. Complies with BS7590, Secure by Design, and the British Board of Agreement for extra peace of mind. Ten year mechanical guarantee. BZP, or Bright Zinc Plated, products are made from steel and plated with a thin layer of zinc using an electric current, to protect against rusting and oxidisation.
